Producing vibrant colours and a contrast range to challenge Sony’s X-black technology, the NEC MultiSync is a TFT monitor that will make even the most diehard CRT fanatic take a second glance. The maximum resolution of this true 19-inch monitor is 1,280x1,024 running at 60Hz, and with a contrast ratio of 700:1, a 170° horizontal viewing angle and rendering 16.77 million colours it has a fair amount of muscle too.
Cheaper monitors exist but these won’t be nearly effective enough for rendering the kind of colour contrast necessary for the creative user. Similarly, more expensive monitors are also available aimed at the professional graphics industry, but for a good performance screen at a reasonable price the 90GX2 is definitely worth investigating.
