My creation process is basically the same for each painting. Even if each image is different and born in a different way, most of the steps towards the final picture are often very similar. In this workshop, I explain how I created this enchanting image.
The first step - which is probably the most important - is to find a subject for the painting. Once you have found it, the hardest part is to bring it to life. The entire illustration you see has been creating using Photoshop, but you can use Painter or other drawing applications. As this is digital painting, I highly recommend the use of a graphics tablet to help achieve the amount of realism that I try to put in my paintings, which proves almost impossible with a mouse. Through this workshop, I'll explain the different steps of conception that are essential for me and show you some basic setting for Photoshop brushes that I find most useful.
You must keep in mind that Photoshop is of great help, but cannot do everything, so it's worth investing time in developing a good knowledge of anatomy and observation. This is a must for great results. Attaining this knowledge requires a lot of training. Studying nude anatomy is the key...
