As a young, thriving art medium digital art is constantly attracting fresh new talent, and this month we’re celebrating this new blood by looking at the rising stars of digital art. We feature the art of 10 of the very finest under-25s creating fantasy and sci-fi art today, and talk to them about their art and how they aim to take the industry by storm.

We also unveil the results of our biggest cover competition to date, with newcomer Christina Davis’s captivating image chosen out of hundreds of fantastic entries, many of which are featured inside, to feature on this month's cover.

Once you’ve checked out Christina’s accompanying tutorial, there’s also a workshop from Jean-Sébastien Rossbach on looking to Frazetta for inspiration, and how to design a robot for the military by Ben Mauro. Patipat Asavasena combines unearthly beauty and evil powers in his workshop, and Alex Chu reveals the secrets of pleasing a client and thrilling your audience.

There’s over four hours of video advice on this month’s free DVD, plus some silhouette vector graphics, and loads of textures, brushes and full software to help you get the most out of this issue.
